Can you see it?! There’s no filter on these photos. I went to the Milk X Cult Beauty pop up even in Covent Garden the weekend before last. I wasn’t impressed with the formulas when I tried them on my hand but I bought the cheek and lip. When I tried it out at home it seemed to leave a bit of colour but disappeared as soon as I blended. I thought I’d try it out again. I’m wearing my favourite cc cream by eborian followed by Mally primer which has a very light glow and tint and some concealer. I dabbed the Milk cheek and lip on my cheeks and lips with my fingers and didn’t blend my cheeks in this time. I put a fair amount of product on. I’m on my way to work it been all of 10 minutes since I left the house but I don’t see blush?! Sorry Milk I wanted to like you but it’s clearly not for me. Maybe it’s different on fairer skins? Texture wise it has a weird slip to it. Sort of greasy but not quite. I got the shade perk. Really not feeling this. #milkmakeup #milkmakeupxcultbeauty #cheekandlip #beautyreview
Caturday chill day! Bit of self maintenance going on today. First time in about two months I’ve had time to veg out and watch YouTube videos and try on a sheet mask. I’m late on the band wagon on these as I usually don’t have any time for masks let alone sheet ones. My cat kenzo seems a tad freaked out and after the photo went to my fiancé for hugs of reassurance 😂. So far the mask is super wet and is subtly fragranced. I’ll let you know how it feels after! So happy and delighted with my custom made forever engagement ring. For those who know, know @validatingyourego and I had a horrific time with some awful jewellers and had to take our original ring back. The lovely and very talented Tom Lynall saved us by making this incredible sea inspired aquamarine ring with sapphires and diamonds on the shoulders up in Birmingham. It’s been a while folks! Sorry I disappeared into a hole. It’s been a super busy time but I intend to be more organised with my posting and to be kind to myself but giving myself some me time. I’ll soon be updating y’all on my skin regimen so far. As you can see in this unedited and unfiltered post I still have a few blemishes but my skin is definitely glowier and less greasy shiney (although can you tell the difference in a photo..?). I did my make up at 12:30pm, it’s now past 7pm and I’ve not touched it not even the lipstick. I’ve been using differin, which is a form of retin a for nearly two months now. Occasionally I feel my skin get irritated and I get light peeling. Today is one of those days. All of which are standard effects of retinisation. So today I went foundation free. Just concealer and powder, eye make up, blusher and lip balm. I think my skin has vastly reduced improved in the past few months. Much of that has been down to The Ordinary. You’ll no doubt have heard/read that the The Ordinary has closed. I sincerely hope that Brandon has the support necessary to continue with the brand when he’s ready.
